Cold-rolled plate and hot-rolled plate are both coils, but the difference is still big. Generally speaking, cold-rolled plate coils are made of hot rolled coil as raw material and rolled below the recrystallization temperature at room temperature, including plate and coil. Hot rolled coil: it is made of slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs) as raw material and made of strip steel by roughing mill and finishing mill after heating. Here are the differences between the two!

In fact, it is easy to distinguish between the two rolling plates. We can detect the difference with our hands. The surface of the cold rolled coil has a certain glossiness and feels smooth. It feels a bit like the steel cup we often use to drink water. However, if the hot rolled coil has not been pickled, its surface and feel are very similar to the ordinary steel plate bought in the market. If the surface is rusty, the surface color is red, if there is no rust, the color of the surface is purple black.

In terms of accuracy, the thickness of cold rolled strip steel is thinner than that of hot rolled strip steel, and the accuracy is more accurate. It's accurate to one place after the decimal point. In terms of size, the thinest thickness of the cold rolled coil can be made into 0.001 mm steel strip. The surface quality of the cold rolled strip is superior to that of the hot rolled strip. The cold rolled strip can now produce a mirror surface.
